It doesn't happen every night, but it does occur at least once a week. It's almost always between 10 and 11 PM. One or both kids wake up SCREAMING. It's usually Luke, who has night-terrors, but Audrey's been joining in the ritual every now and then. Clayton and I are usually in bed when it begins, but we both happened to be up last night. "Uh-oh. It's a 10:23 meltdown." Downstairs, fully-clothed and fully-awake, Clayton had nowhere to hide. It was kind of fun handling the double-squawking together. I usually handle it alone since Clayton is usually extremely sleep-deprived. I like that it doesn't happen in the middle of the night, and I like that I was awake and happy enough to enjoy cuddling with my kids a little bit longer than usual. Someday I'm going to look back on this and miss it.
