was born on Thursday, July 15 at 4:16AM.
He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 21 in. long.
He has dark hair just like Luke did, but I see glimpses of Audrey in him as well. Of course, he looks a lot like Clayton.
What can I say? He is practically perfect in every way.
I couldn't have asked for a better birthing experience, and all went extremely well. Clayton and the nurses said I made it look easy. I wouldn't say it was easy.
I had wanted to try Hypnobirthing and forego the epidural this time around. I ended up with an epidural, but I don't have any regrets. I think I was able to hold it together very well - the best I've done. By the time I had thrown up for the 10th time, throwing me into back-to-back contractions with no break, I just wanted a little relief. After the epidural, my body was able to relax, and he was born an hour later. I really don't think it could have gone smoother. It was actually really interesting having my own personal anesthesiologist (Clayton) there to make sure all went well.
Something about when I held little Max for the first time created an instant bond. All doubts and fears about adding another bit of chaos to our brood were gone, and I felt that fierce motherly love.

Congratulations! Your birthing experience, although you say was great, sounds awful to me! I had no idea you threw up with your births too. Anyway, I'm glad Max was born without problems and that you had a 'good' experience. I can't wait to meet the little guy!
